Introduction to Afternoon Tea Baking

This is a class for those who would like to learn how to create a fine afternoon treat for friends and family. Learn to prepare Swiss rolls, Victoria sponge, Choux pastry & fine shortbread. You can take all your delicious sweet treats home to share.

Stone Carving and Lettering (Week 3 of 3)

An introduction to the art of stone carving from our experts on the Estate. Learn how to take a simple block of stone and carve a letter or number of your choice. Choose whether you would like to book one, two or three sessions giving you the opportunity to create a more personalised piece. You will get experience of using chisels and a mallet to carve your block of stone. You will have examples from previous craft projects to inspire you along with guidance from your tutor. You will be able to take your carved letter home to show your efforts to your friends and family. Please give instructions on what you would like to carve and templates will be ready for you arriving at the workshops.

Apron Making

Learn how to make your own apron with a pocket, perfect to get busy in the kitchen or to use for crafts such as knitting. This workshop allows you to work on an industrial sewing machine, learn how to attach a pocket and add in straps.
