A 19th-century addition to the Estate, this beautiful structure also requires a large amount of restoration work on it. Such work would also have to look at clearing the waterway to enable a swifter flow to reach the wheel. East Ayrshire Council and the Scottish Government have given encouraging signals regarding the restoring of the Sawmill back to a fully operational mill.
