News. Prince’s Trust entrepreneurs
23rd of October, 2017
Two unique enterprises have been welcomed into the Visitor Centre and Shop at Dumfries House this month, injecting a spirit of young entrepreneurship and forward-thinking creativity.
Scottish business owners Melanie Blane and Angus Corbett, both supported by the Prince’s Trust, are the first to be offered a space to showcase and sell their wares.
White Rabbit Skincare is the brainchild of Blane, a line of luxury cleansers, toners and moisturisers championing natural ingredients, eco-friendly packaging and a ‘greener way of life’. Her award winning Chamomile and Carrot Seed Eye Cream has amassed a cult following, with all of her products favouring essential oils, waxes and butters over animal-derived ingredients and artificial fragrances.Corbett also channels a comparable sense of detail-oriented passion into his abstract glass designs. Through his company Aye Glass, he creates intricate pieces merging vibrant colours with striking design. The gods of ancient history, namely Poseidon and Horus, are two of many grand inspirations behind the young Scot’s show stopping designs, all of which create mesmerising light shows when they catch the sun’s rays.
A friendly warning to prospective visitors, you might find yourself leaving the House with a bag full of exclusive Christmas gifts for family and friends.
