The Prince's Foundation and Dumfries House is sad to learn of the passing of the Marquess of Bute, the former owner of Dumfries House. Following the acquisition of the house and estate in 2007 The Duke of Rothesay formed the Dumfries House Trust and the Marquess of Bute was invited to join the Board as a Founding Trustee. His contribution during the early years of the Trust - now The Prince’s Foundation - was incredibly valuable and very much appreciated. Our thoughts are with his family.
