Capture the Ayrshire Landscape in Oils with Gillian Park.

Experience a truly special creative day at Dumfries House, you’ll begin your morning with coffee and homemade shortbread, followed by a full oil-painting demonstration from local artist Gillian Park

This is an inclusive, all-materials-provided workshop using oil paints, designed to give you a taste of how much joy and calm creativity can bring set within inspirational surroundings.

After the demo, it’s your turn. Take your spot, soak in the sweeping landscape, and recreate the view in oils with step-by-step guidance. This workshop is perfect for total beginners and seasoned creatives alike.

Once your masterpiece is complete (and ready to impress!), enjoy some refreshments as you celebrate your creativity in the most beautiful of settings.

The workshop starts from 10:00, and is expected to last three hour with a Cream Tea to follow at 13:00

About Gillian Park

Gillian Park is a local Ayrshire artist, educated at Auchinleck Academy and a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art(1993). Now based in Craigie, she paints, teaches online and in person, sells her work in galleries across Scotland, and is an author and mentor helping artists develop their work and expand their opportunities.
