New Cumnock Town Hall
The King’s Foundation rejuvenated New Cumnock Town Hall in 2016 as part of the heritage-led regeneration of the Dumfries House estate and the wider local community.
A new development
The Town Hall was due to be demolished in 2016.
However, as part of the regeneration of the Dumfries House estate and surrounding areas, the Town Hall was saved by The King’s Foundation. The Hall was refurbished and is now a central pillar of the local community, offering a range of activities.
The King’s Foundation worked closely with residents to design a space that would be a centre for learning, wellbeing, and community life.
A space for everyone
The Town Hall is a community hub, open seven days a week from 9am to 10pm.
It offers a range of facilities including a main hall, computer suite, cinema, arts and crafts room, and a meeting room. The building is home to activities such as badminton, sewing clubs, karate, table tennis, and dance.
